Default Drift Wrxs

Hey Guys im new to perth wrx, been a member of skylines australia and driftwa for a while,
i have 2 gc8 wrx sti's that i have bought from jap wholesalers,
they have been converted to rwd and had spme suspension work, they are primarily used for drift at barbagello,

Im having one small problem tho and it that the stock diff is a bit twitchy,
I dont know a great deal about the subaru drive train but can anyone tell me
if mini spools are availabe or can u get 1/1.5/1way mechanical diffs for them or is it just easyer to get them welded?
cheers

Im pretty sure John (kato) has a 2way cusco diff, wondering if that would be of use in a drift application. Also heard of people just welding them, aslong as its a decent job, i dont see why it wouldnt withstand a beating.

welding the stock open centre is the way for a cheap setup

rex's by nature are twitch as hell unless you get the alignment sorted for RWD only duties, it takes a bit, the guys down at wheels world are experienced in setting up a rex for RWD tho...

as for mech diffs, there plenty, just a matter of how much you want to spend really...

and get a cage, rex's are weak as piss, and you can visually see them twisting up when setup for RWD and slide only action...
