"....Would 198kW of power change your mind about the WRX?...."

well it is a better power figure but will the sti get the same type of gains?? Also looking at that picture there is no real change to the crappy looks of the car...still wont be a winner if the looks arnt changed a bit from the current wrx IMO !

sounds like mitsubishi has forced their hand with the ralliart, for the first time Subaru have got a fight on their hands, in a niche they have dominated.

Exclamation

198 KW if fucking dreaming, unless sales of the 08 WRX are so shithouse Subaru have resorted to grasping at straws.

Lancer Ralliart specifications

Engine 2.0-liter DOHC MIVEC with FMIC/ twin scroll turbo
Max. output 177 kW@6000RPM
Max torque. 343 Nm@3000RPM
Driveline Full-time 4WD (with Active Center Diff)
Front Helical LSD / Rear Mechanical LSD
Transmission Twin Clutch SST (Paddle Shift minus Super Sport Setting - most likely a $5k option)
2 pot Calipers (No Brembo's)
Tyres 215/45R18

Options:
Recaro seats
HID headlights
650-watt Rockford Fosgate 9-speaker audio system,
Sirius satellite radio
Power sunroof
30-gigabyte hard drive navigation system with digital music server.

Jap Specs here

Oz Pics Here

The WRX will be truely dead if Mitsubishi release the Lancer Ralliart at the same price.

VERY COOL EVO X SITE HERE

Subaru - what were you thinking with the 08 WRX

yeah the point i was making was that if the looks arnt the same then it still wont sell. i think if you ask people why they wouldn't buy a wrx they would say because it looks like shit not because the power isnt enough...

Each to their own really. Quite a lot of people like the looks. Me, for one.
