Default Axis/Raw Performance 2.5 motor

Hi All,

Is there anyone in Perth or Australia who can build a motor the same as this for under/close to $8K....

http://www.raw1performance.com/index_files/Page637.html

The time has come to give my Spec C the extra herbs she desires.

cheers

Looks like good value, from a proven name(you could replicate that in Australia but not beat it !).....just don`t forget to get the head package as well "RAW Quote" - Power is made in the cylinder heads. <- wise words.

ideally you want to find someone who can work the heads to your goal and match them with cams and a valve train.

Hi Just, what do you recommend, Spec C heads not good enough on their own??

Not for a 2.5....different animal with the extra capacity, the built bottom end on its own doesn`t make the power, it just survives it.

With stock heads and cams it will just be another torquey 2.5 build(been done many times, usually resulted in Ok "meh" result), add some cams it will make decent numbers but there will be a ceiling...

Full blown head package and the bottom end to back it up and you`ll have a WMD... the smile will never leave your face

I think with the talents on Ron at RAW the top shelf heads would result in major power gains throughout the rev range, aid spool etc....seems pricey for the APH3...but if you consider buying some heads 2nd hand(they are brand new), buying the cams springs, valves, seals etc having them ported, machined and assembled(all in a top shelf manner) its not too bad really...they are ready to bolt straight on.

Sell your spec-c engine complete as a long motor(worth Very good money), and talk to Ron at axis....see what package he recommmends and get it all in one deal
