Purely from competitive point of view it's great. Better chance for privateers to go for outright wins. For the sport though it's definitely a kick in the pants.

Wont affect the privaters at all....... unless they are getting sponsorship from Subaru....... This doesn't affect WRC or Asia Pacific Rally.

i can understand their decision to concerntrate on tarmac activities as most of us do go rallying on gravel (don't have the skill & don't wanna damage the paintwork).
Hopefully with greater client base to share the cost, genuine STI handling performance options will be alot more accessible (& cheaper) to us. |
