Aus-delivered vehicles often have softer spring rates (and probably dampers) than their Japanese counter parts. I fitted a set of V6 STi Type RA factory springs to my old rexy, and their spring rates were even stiffer than King or Whiteline spring rates. The original spring rates however, were shocking. Probably similar spring rates off a Corolla.

my car was heaps of fun, however it was too impractical on the wallet. going in shows then rallydriving on gravel in it the next day wasnt the best thing for it. i would have been better off buying 2 sti's for the amount of money it cost me. at least i got it out of my system while im young |

but if u want to go to some track days, king springs is probably not the way to go. i had it on my sti, and it didnt have much grip on fast corners. too bouncy!

Wai - what did you end up getting mate?
I am going to have my 06 STi lowered but not sure whether to go super or ultra low. Can't afford $3500 for coils. Where did you get it done? If anyone has pictures of there car with either could you post em so I can have a look. Cheers! |

Jaron, I'll post up some pics in the next day or so of my Sti with coilovers, it is set at the same height as whiteline flat out springs.
