If youve got a new dakker might be wise to get it checked.

yep MY07 onwards I have been advised by Subaru. Mine is going into ASG next week for mods anyway so I am going to get Sean to look at while he has the dump pipe and i/c off. I wonder if the Subaru techs could even find that line. Its not small job to get access to that line either.

Bugger - I have two fire bombs in my garage.

SOP said nothing about it yesterday when I had mine serviced.

The international version of the recall warns Subaru owners not to park their vehicles in "a garage, car port or other structure" to minimise the risk of a fire.
But may increase chance of vandalism or theft. Great idea, then the burglar can burn to death when he steals it

Subaru are being a little over-cautious...

I don't know if you guys have noticed, but none of the oil feed lines on previous models have a supporting bracket to stop vibration...and as far as I'm aware, they're hardly different between models.

Mis-aligned? It only goes in one way! If you mis-align it, the banjo bolts wouldn't fit

Either way I don't care, our new MY09 will have this fixed when its delivered in February.

Pretty sure the turbo/intercooler setup in the current turbo subarus is quite different from all previous models.
