You want a little wheel spin to save the driveline and stop it bogging down.

With the 2.5 I ended up with a 1.655 and a couple of 1.70 60 foots but thats not stock power. Best stock was 1.819 but wasn't very good at the time.

If you can get a 1.7** you will be doing pretty well.

Good tires make a big difference. All my runs were on RE070's

Ill give that a go man sounds like a pretty good idea if your running some good tyres...i hope the nexens can pull up well....
my cousin has a lil 8 sec mazda and he reckons best night to go is for auto trader fast friday they prep the track better or something.

If you can afford to replace your clutch, slip it off the line at the right revs and should be quick... I did 1.9s with 7k wheelspin launches cause the tires where shit and i didn't want to destroy a clutch or g/box... still went 12.2 @ 113mph..

I dont have launch control but i turned over a 1.7 and a few 1.8's at Rexpo drags last year... I ran 'auto' for the first few runs then went 'lock' but its all in how you launch the car.. rev high 5/6 and drop the clutch as fast as you can then hold on! i didnt get much wheel spin, maybe because i ran rcomps

It's what works best for you, your car, your hp and your mods that will get you a good 60ft.

My 1.7's have come from 6500 dumps with no respect for the car. DCCD was on Auto or 1st orange after green, so mid, that was with around 320hp.

If I try and launch that same way now I go nowhere and struggle for a 1.8/9
