Default Covers in front bumper

I have a bugeye STi and I notice a few of you with same model have some covers, I think a steel mesh, with the STi logo on it in place of the plastic ones in the corners of the bumpers?? Notably I think the dark blue one (Balistic's?? Looks awesome)

Can anyone tell me where I might get some, and is the gap behind it, or rather the lower surface, solid enough to mount small spot lights, say lightforce 170s?? I drive at night a fair bit (dark when I go to work, f'rinstance), and being an STi I don't even have the WRX's fog lights, but I guess they are mainly show anyway? I am assuming those covers may let enought light thru to make it still worthwhile having the lights behind them.

I don't want one of those little right angle bracket things that bolts to the number plate either. Any other suggestions appreciated...

fog lights cant be legaly used unless driving in adverse weather conditions and then your head lights should be turned off to make the fog lights effective
they can be replaced on classics and bugeyes with driving lights
which must be wired into the high beam

the mesh covers can be sourced on ebay if you prefer the look of those

maybe swap your sti covers with some one who doesnt want fog lights anymore then you will have the original subaru mounts and wiring etc

Thanks for that, the Cibie lights on that site seem to fit the bill very nicely.

Have some other pretty flash goodies too...
