Just had a retard in a commodore decide to be a hero and slide his ute around throwing up stones/gravel up at my wrx causing stone chips to the left front fender, bonnet, headlight, front window and front spoiler.

F****n pisses me off as I have looked after my car such that until now was in presitage condition.

Reported it to the cops under their hoon law.

At the risk of getting flamed, while it's pretty irresponsible, it is still just a car. Should be glad he didn't clean you up or someone else. Taken my buzzbox over the Nullabor plenty of times and stone chips are merely battle wounds of enjoying my ride. My 2 cents.

It doesnt help that the paint is crap on our cars and seem to be so easily chipped by stones.
The wifes car get's driven way more than mine on busy hwy's and stuff and has no where near as many stone chips as mine.

Fair call, edit on my part. It could have been worse, and he could have hit someone. Cars get dings, dents, a bit of stone chips here and there, as much as I like my car, it's still just a car. I enjoy it, I like the look of it, but these things happen, there is always someone that is going to do something silly and kick up gravel, or open a door into it or whatever. While it sucks that it happens, it still happens.

I think what astralex is saying is stone chips can be fixed easily. It could have been worse and been an accident not only causing damage to the car but to people.
