so ur saying on smooth straight drag strips u get owned?. hahah!!! and so the justification for that is u have to say 'in real life suburban' conditions my car is better? there is nothing wrong with V8s. each to their own. i'm sure they laugh at you too at the fuel bowser thinking you're all that in suburbia. the track and strip is where its at !!!

not bad dan, but i was referring the THE LORD and his abilities as a driver rather than the car itself

Don't worry Fobz, on a suburban road, roll on, you will still get beaten by one of the big power HSV's.

They trap a 109 mph terminal speed according to the new motor.

Now I am about to stir up the hornets nest...

So why not just get a funny car... Or a bike... or even a jet car... ?
Ooops... the Saturn 5 rocket launcher from the Apollo flights
is the most powerful engine ever made... Get one of those.... just
plain stupid.

I prefer to my car to be street legal, drivable across a range of conditions,
Rain or shine (and not just down the 1/4). To be comfortable and a pleasure
to drive.

Before the flames start... Remember its only my opinion I am sure
that others live for the strip, nitro, and burning rubber. I guess
everyone has their own opinions, and if we didn't there would
only be one sort of car.

All flames can be sent to abuse@127.0.0.1

Hahaha Hein, I'm not religious so you can say whatever about the LORD you like

Mat, yeah the VI (inc. TME) interior was always dissapointing as it was very close the GLi of that era, and as I metioned before if you want a street cruiser the STI has some more comforts. It's a better daily driver car. The body strength in the Evo VII and up was greatly increased and besides some interior trim the cars are totally different in feel and drive. I mean the GLi is $16k and the Evo is $62k, so you hope there are some differences.

I don't see why the Evo would have any less resale than the Subaru at all. Typically the Evos have held resale very well due to the limited nature of teh car. The IX is the first of its type so it will be different in the market.

But dont forget the poor sods who paid 79,990 + ORC (about 90k) for a Evo 6.5 TME then sold them a year or so later in the 50k range.
