He has a doggie anyway but a stock box can handle plenty if it driven with some mechanical sympathy............i.e slip launched and never clutch dumped.......there's plenty that are happy with 250+ at the hubs.
Hope she'd swallow for that price.

blue.spec 21-08-2009 09:43 AM

im going to go for the p20 injectors and tune and see how i go without the headers and cam then that will be step two

Josh 21-08-2009 09:56 AM

Speaking of injectors. What's the headfuck with putting a GD inlet manifold on? That would obviously allow decaps which could be a cheaper option?

blue.spec 21-08-2009 10:12 AM

didnt you have to relocate coils or wire them in?

ill go over it one more time in case the previous times got brushed over.

you loose idle up valve control which isn't a problem if you run rotational idle all the time. if you don't you loose boost control function which again isn't a problem if you have a stand alone ebc. then the coil pack has to be relocated and leads extended or individual ones wired up to take its place. changing the injectors pins from the wiring harness to new ones to accept the top feeds and lastly issue with the throttle body so its not for the faint hearted! if your going to so much trouble, ideally you would want a spec c delete manifold and reverse this....or upgrade to a tmic
