May I ask, how come some people are replacing engines and stuff at figures like 150k or 200k? Is that from taking them on the track?

Usually from either:

a) running a highly tuned engine (big boost etc) + flogging at the track
b) adding shitty mods without tuning correctly
c) its cool to have a 207

As above, or, like in my case, you simply want more power. There's only so far you can push a 205 with bolt-ons. A new 207 is arguably the cheapest/easiest solution.
A 'running' 205 is worth more than a fingered one... albeit, not much, but a little.
