May I ask, how come some people are replacing engines and stuff at figures like 150k or 200k? Is that from taking them on the track?

As above, or, like in my case, you simply want more power. There's only so far you can push a 205 with bolt-ons. A new 207 is arguably the cheapest/easiest solution.
A 'running' 205 is worth more than a fingered one... albeit, not much, but a little.
