over the last few weeks im noticing my car is using more fuel than normal. so far it has used 1/4 tank after 100km, normally would be around the ~130-150km mark by this stage. Any reasons why all of a sudden it would have changed? thanks

The morning's are getting colder.
Making it harder to get out of bed.
Which means you're running late for work.
And hence, drive faster to make up lost time.
Equating to higher fuel consumption.

can be checked with a multimeter on the signal wire of your 02 sensor, should be fluctuating at idle, if not its dead

its one of the wires that comes off your o2 sensor, from memory on my 99 GT it was the white wire off a 3 wire o2 sensor

not sure about your model mate, mine was behind turbo in the dump pipe, yours maybe at the end of the dump pipe under the car or in your headers, i know your model has 12 sensors & 1 is a temp sensor, can't remember which though, no doubt one of the resident experts will chime in shortly

if you can find a diy for installing an afr gauge, its is the same wire you need to tap into for that
