Wanted a Subaru since I was old enough to care about cars, my interested in cars came about the time of the Imprezas first success in WRC.

When the mighty Mclaren F1 lobbed in late 91 early 92 I was smitten. Top speed of 381 or thereabouts, basically two m3 engines welded together (read daily driver). Best comment from dad was I told him the problem would be that you go to pick some hottie up and she would not have any idea what the car was. His reply........I think she would have a fair idea it was not a fcuking hyundai! golden. When they were new they were $530 000 pounds and now a good original one is over $1 mill pounds. They are due for a new fuel bag every 5 years. only problem with this? 100 + hours labour to replace it.....in england. One of the directors of coca cola in australia was the only lucky biatch to have one in aus. There was also one in NZ.

I think you mean Hamann (the tuning company), but I'm pretty sure they never worked on an F40.

I was fairly keen on a white 1970 Dodge Challenger, like the one in "Vanishing Point".
After 30 years, I've somewhat lost the urge to ram a couple of Bulldozers with it though.

I loved yank muscle cars from the '70s but the Mk 1 Lotus Cortina, Series 1 Lotus Esprit and Porsche 911 were other bratty favourites.

there you go, apparently you do learn something new everyday.

I'd still prefer a F40 LM GTE (Evo 2) though!
