No chance! :D It is a Feb 09 build, April 09 compliance. I researched the hell out of it before I purchased it. Wouldn't have even accepted an 08 build MY09 due to internal engine problems documented on Nasioc.

It has the darker rims, and front WRX badge.

I even got Subaru to inform me in writing that no warranty claim had been made, and got an inspection at a Subaru dealer in the area before sending it over.

The guy was driving up and down the Sunshine Coast constantly until he was forced to do on site visits and was given a Hilux.

sweet that rules a line thru that

you have a VF52 and it is capable I believe of more I believe but again I dont think Sean would ring the neck out of any 2.5 ltr boxers these days. Did you get a printout of your boost as well?

I ran a datascan device and logged a couple of weeks worth of daily driving on a MY09 WRX but unfortunately the data is inconclusive I think. Needed more controlled testing and logging. Would be happy to hook up my logger to your car's OB port and do some tests some time as I am pretty interested in the VF52 and what possible with it when tuned right. A larger well made & more efficient tmic might also net you some noticeable gains.

Cheers Dave... The data logger idea is a good one. I have only received the dyno chart at this stage. I'm actually very happy with the outcome either way.

I might look into a better TMIC in the future, but the car is driven daily by my partner so it is probably a waste of $$ at this stage.
LOL that's my standard post to everyone...needs more torque and who wouldn't want more.
hahaha agreed!!!!

can anyone see what the torque figures are on this MY09 rex...i got this from rexnet.

Ok my experience from seeing cars tuned by Pulse is that the dyno figures are inflated. I have seen some MY07 + Libs with just a TBE and their tune that show 200 kw plus atw....Pulse do the dyno runs for 6MT vehicles in 4th gear, plus dyno figures can be fiddled with to achieve higher numbers and as a result happier customers. I'm not saying the Pulse tune is not good but to me just a bit inconclusive on the data they provide, note no mention of torque sheet they provide and its based on kmh rather than rpm..different again from what you get a ASG. Would also love to know what "shoot out" mode they used for dyno runs.

I would have thought the numbers were a little inflated too but he did get it dyno'd stock on the same dyno and achieved about 147kw..which is pretty accurate!

Anyway, I would definitely be happy with around 190kw on mine!!!

What concerns me is the torque....does anyone know what torque figures other MY09's are getting or should be getting?

RUSSGT 10-03-2010 06:01 PM

Pulse = Definite LARGE numbers.

American Dave 10-03-2010 06:02 PM

3rd gear power runs in a 5MT or 4th gear power runs in a 6MT can do that :D

RUSSGT 10-03-2010 06:08 PM

Its incredible high altitude wise over there at pulse...

American Dave 10-03-2010 06:11 PM

ROFL they are high at Pulse alright
