Yeh rays car was very similar and would have been an awsome pickup if u could have got it...

These engines will be pushing the limits of future builds i think. Cant wait to see Nicks car fire up..

What's the general consensus on these regarding overall balance? Is it a drag/street racer special or do they work from a competition car perspective?

Jme I'm pretty sure it will see a ton of M1 use.. so if he can keep it in a straight line it should be fine.

Orignally was going to be all out drag car but i think he now wants to try it to be an allrounder, hence the smaller turbo..

but i think drag/street racer will be the cloth thrown over it..

Anyone know the overall dimensions of the 6 cylinder versus 4 cylinder and whether it's forward bias or rear bias in relation to the engine mounts?

Me I've been told when investigating it that the engine is only 30-40 mm longer than the 4 cylinder so not that much longer at all.

Can always move ancillary engine stuff like battery etc to the boot for better weight distribution

Yeah as far as i can tell from builds in the US, the engine isnt that much bigger and fits in the stock mounts, but there is a bit more upfront and the general consensus is the radiator needs to be moved somewhere else for it to fit. Only real issue afaik is that their is no current turbo model so will definately need to be built before it will handle some boost. The later model ones are chain instead of belt and variable cam and lift so could be quite tricky. Perrin had custom cams made up too from memory
