Win. Do like.

Wouldn't it be easier/cheaper to get a can of Nightshades & do a few layers though?

You wont get the same smooth consistant finish though, let alone it would stand out like dogs balls against the body work.

If you were spray paint savvy doing it yourself would 'possibly', lead to a cheaper outcome, but for the average person by the time you bought the paint and other bits and pieces 'masking agents, flexaid primer' etc, it would probably cost you more then the cost of this part in particular.

This way you acheive a factory color finish which would be a better match then may be obtainable yourself 'dependant on skill obviously'.

Theres also the issue of prep'ing the existing moulding so paint will actually stick'.

All in all much easier and def cheaper going down this route to achieve a factory finish.

Add to this the ability to off load your pre-existing part for 'say', anywhere between $80 - $100 something, and you essentially get the part for free.

Yeah, the stock "spolier" is pretty ordinary. My mrs is not super keen on me getting a bigger one, but if we keep the car more than a year than I will hopefully get it done...

Nice one... I did mine also, took it off and had it resprayed when my car was in for some panel work. Once you get the tail lights done the rear end actually looks good

According to Dave's thread:

"No tail tint available for Betty's"

I paid $40 shipped for mine, not sure if that is good or bad.

There is a very easy fix... buy a white car in the first place.

The chrome strip and clear tail lights actually look half decent on them

Nice finish, looks so much more better minus the chrome garnish.

If I could have gotten a pure white like the STI I would have for sure. Not as big a fan of the satin white with sparkles....

Ordered one of these on Sunday, apparently its on the way here already.
I'll write up an installation guide for those who are interested.
