Default Rear Chrome Delete 08+ Hatch

Not sure if many people have done this over here... But just for the record I ordered a factory painted dark grey 08+ STI rear garnish to get rid of the chrome bling of the back of my car.

Around $200 shipped from Subaru Genuine Parts in the US.

I will post a photo later on, big improvement..

+1 for awaiting pics.
I've hated that chrome bar since day one.
Would hope that it will be easy to remove from the sedans as well.

Nah, the badge is on the part, same as the WRX. I now have a spare chrome trim with badge still in it.

Here are some shots....

I've also got some light tinted overlays for the rear lights from an ebay seller. I know it's illegal, but hopefully the fact that they are not too dark will avoid attention.

Thanks, yeah will get rid of the impreza badge as well. To get this part through Subaru Australia it would have cost me $367 and taken 3 weeks. As much I as I would love to support Australian business, $200 & 6 days was irresistible.

That looks hella better then the factory chrome one, but what amazes me is you got a genuine STi/Subaru part for $200 that wasnt a plastic clip.

all round!

Think you might have started a new trend with the betty owners of pdiddy!

Yes, I was surprised too... An ind. business selling genuine parts at half the price

The part: $111USD - the freight: $60ish USD.
