confirmed

the first boat load we have coming through is apparently 50/50 auto to manual ratio, however orders are projected to be more like 70/30 in the favour of auto!!! This happened when i was with Nissan with the 350/370Z's we sold a lot more of the auto varient (its also worth noting that one of the fastest street production cars in Australia, the GTR had no manual option, although that was a very sophisticated gearbox and having driven one i was actually kinda glad it was auto)

Wonderful. I can't wait to be told that the automatic is better, faster and that I won't want to bother with a manual gearbox after having driven the auto.

I doubt this will be the case, it will be simply a matter of preference

No officialy pricing from Subaru Aust. as yet. we are anticipating somewhere in the region of $68K for manual and just over $70K for an auto

I believe the quality, build and technology of Automatic boxes have come far enough to avoid many issues performance cars had with old automatic transmissions.

But i could be wrong.

When it comes down to it who care weather people want an auto or a manual. If they are happy driving it then they should have the option.

Personally I would take a manual over a traditional auto type box any day but if I ever decide to get off my ass and order a Golf R I'll be ticking the box for DSG for sure.
