Default Who makes aftermarket alternators for subaru's?

Hey guys, well my alternator has gone in my 05 STI and i was looking through repco's guide a i can't seem to find an alternator listing of any brand for my wrx.

Subaru's aren't even listed on bosch's site so am i going to have to go genuine?

Cheers Paul

Sparky would fix it up cheaper than buying a new one.

http://www.sparepartsaustralia.com.au/subaru.html

Was trying to find somewhere you can get an exchange item, prob able to get one from one of those places, but not sure.

At least with an exchange item you'll get warranty.

You will find the alternator is made by some japanese mob (nippon/mitsi etc)
In most cases its cheaper to buy a new one if its not rebuildable, but yeah best to check with a sparky first and go from there.. also a bit odd that its dead in 5 years? usually they have a longer life than that

Cheers MCL, that would be great, well i will take it off today and send it to the auto sparky's and see what they can do. They have internal regulators so hopefully it is a part that can be replaced.

Best autosparky I have found (by a long shot) is shultz automotive .. just be weary if they're doing mechanical work, last time they made a simple fux up on the mrs's car but weren't honest enough to admit they fuxed up wish they had a pair.
