Default Whats he askin?

What do you think a MY01 motor with blow-by would be worth? It is probably described as the bottom and top-end, I have a new sti red manifold that would go with it..Needs fuel system, ie no injectors/rails present.

Also, what value would you put on some sti forged rods and pistons? (used). I would get someone to look over them to see if they are ok before selling them....would need rings..

i have seen seized up engine for $400-500
new rods and pistons cost around $2000, so maybe 800-1000 depending on their conditions
manifold, around 250-300

part it out, sell the heads, cams, block, sump, oil-pickup, rods and pistons (if they are ok) and you should come up with close to $1k.

as is, yeh $500.

Hmm sounds like a good idea, jus the engine is pretty complete atm, I thought people would want a whole motor, who would want std 01 heads and cams?? Anyway, Who would you take the rods and pistons too to check out? I was thinking Kwinana Peformance as they are closest to me....

Stace, will catch up with you in the next week re the laptop stuff, gearbox is fixed, thanks for the tip, turns out 2nd gear was stripped and input shaft shot as well
