Default any ideas for mods.?

hey guys,

its come to that stage where i want to spend money on the car performance wise upgrades.! Just wondering if you could give me any ideas or suggestions where i would get the most power out of my money, not expecting a lot considering i only want to spend max of 5k. TBE would definitely have to come first !! btw its for a WRX MY07 tuned by STI...

cheers.

Exhaust - $1500 - $2000 (plenty of options available)
Ecuflash - $1000 - $1500 (verso or ecutek)
Bolt on turbo ~$1500(VF series/TD05/6 series)
Fuel Pump ~$250 (walboro/bosch)
Intercooler ~$500 - $1500 (sti/aftermarket - top mount/Front mount)
Water spray ~$100 - $600 (sti or diy or aftermarket)

That will give you a very noticeable increase and achieveable within your budget.

I would also look at your brakes and suspension if the budget can handle it...bigger sway bars and links plus good wheel alignment will help you get all the new power to ground better.

Forum member H8TOBL8 has the exact same car as you I believe, and he had a TBE fitted. Might want to ask him his opinion on mods.

to add to that list, here is what i did:

pump: http://www.importimageracing.com/p/W...t-WRX-STI.html (90 usd plus shiping)

turbo from Gruppe-s (my vf48 cost $1100usd delivered) or from import image^

1x 15194AA110 and 2x 803910050 from subaru parts (oil feed banjo for the different turbo)

I'm not getting into the debate on ecu flashes (but get a verso )

your choice on front versus top mount will decide on what you buy, i'm a fan of the late model OEM STI coolers.

cheap chinese ebay exhausts can be had for ~$6-700 but often are ill fitting and will last for ?? (at least a few years) or buy a local one (Butler Built) that will cost 3 times as much but will definately fit perfectly and support a local business
