hey pple, if i were to change a stock MY02's turbo to a VF 35, do i need tuning for it?? Everything on the car is standard.

Or i need to do some mod b4 i install the VF 35.. example the tbe, cai....

Yes, it would be far more sensible to complete other modifications such as exhaust and cai first. Once you have done those two, I would reccomend a computer such as Autronic, Link or MoTeC if you have the money. No point looking at turbo upgrades till you have at least these mods as well as some safety ones such as fuel pump etc.

To get any proper gains, you'll have to get some tuning done, assuming you are running either a piggyback ECU or stand alone ECU.
You would also get maximum benefit with other mods to support it.

Waste of time installing a VF35 before you do anything else. It wont make any extra power without supporting mods, in fact it might even make your car slower.

First things first, you should look at doing your exhaust, intake and computer, THEN do the turbo after that.

VF35,FMIC,walbro fuel pump(dunno wot size), air pod, 1.1bar, already had a full exhaust.
did all that to miss rexys car and had it on speedworks dyno when winding in the boost to make sure the air ratios were all good, no tune and made 235hp

After i do up the exhaust, intake and ecu then the turbo... will the retuning cos alot after i fix on the turbo?? As in will they have to retune every thing again??

Yes, a retune will be necessary.

It shouldnt be more than about 1-2 hours worth for retuning.

What ever you do change the fuel pump first. The original is a sad excuse of a pump
