Achilles = bad Indonesian used-condom spec tyre
Nexen = not too bad street tyre, are also branded as Lexani, Roadstone and a couple of others that I can't remember... (Kumho's KU31 is normally not much different in price depending on T9's buying relationships.)

Both (Achilles & Nexen) come from the same wholesaler in WA, so the rim set could come with either

But speaking as someone heavily backed by Yokohama in business & sport, can't beat them when it comes to ultra high performance tyres.

Are they going to be supplying F1 in 2011?

Thanks Captain, I was just pointing out that the best ultra high performance tyre would be whatever a top line racing series runs, not what he sells.

So by TJ's definition, up until November 14th 12.59pm, Bridgestone produced the best tyres in the world, and then miraculously 1 minute later, Pirelli overtook them in such a fashion that Bridgestone shrunk back to Japan with their tails between their legs... I think not. Did you also vote for Qatar??

Achilles are only good for a spare to drive the 10, 20, 50 Km to the tyre shop to get your *insert good brand here* repaired / replaced.

The Yokie A050 is arguably the best R comp going at the moment.

Ran the nexens for some of the street series stuff and as my road tyres for the emo. Good bang for buck. Usual story. Get what you pay for.
