A friend of mine recommanded RMS to me before. How much do they charge for a minor service?

^^^Kinda on topic about inspecting car before paying bill or leaving the workshop.

Went to the workshop mentioned above once when I first got the 204 for a service but never ever again as when I picked it up it was parked with the right hand side about 5cm away from the wall where the neighbouring unit is and not in the parking along the fence where the cars are usually put.

I thought this was extremely strange and thought they were trying to hide a scratch or something so I moved the car to the street front for a closer inspection, what I found was absolutely unbelievable !!

It had the whole left hand side and rear including windows, boot, spoiler, plastics and lights of the car with white paint overspray on it.

Went straight to them and explained what I found and it definitely wasn't there when I dropped it off but was told it was like that before and the spray place next to where they parked it would never have been the culprit but can I can guarantee it farking bloody well wasn't there before!!!

They still denied it and said not their problem after I pointed out the dodgey way it was parked to hide something and what unit it was next to
where they were painting shit.

Spent a shit load to try get rid of it and still have it on the plastics that surround the rear passenger and rear window.

CSB!!!

This will more than likely be deleted as it might come across as a workshop bashing but as long as I try my best to let people know to be careful and inspect their car NO MATTER WHAT WORKSHOP YOU TAKE YOUR CAR TO thats all that counts.

I agree with that Wayne, go out with owner/service advisor/ tech and do a walk around when you drop it off an when you pick it up. I'm very surprised they showed no respect for a rare bird like yours. If one came into our workshop, everyone would down tools and come and gawk at it.

Still, in before the.....you know

The company I work for has the admin lady go out the front with the owner of the vehicle when it is dropped off. Has a sheet of paper and does a walk around it and notes any dents and scratches etc. It covers both the owner and us as if it is not on the inspection we may have caused it. If it is on there it definately wasnt. Pretty easy process and am surprised that there are so many workshops that dont do this.
