i assumed there would be Db rating-but after searching the relevant websites(http://www.dpi.wa.gov.au/licensing/1885.asp) it seems to me that its very open to interpretation-i.e., the police can chose what they think is excessive volume? Now i may be wrong, and would appreciate interpretation/comments.

This is what my MMS exhaust sounds like:

Pretty sure the RMS unit is exactly the same.

Want to hear what these exhausts sound like before you buy?

1) Have dinner saturday night down on the roadside down on the freo strip.

2) Have a beer at the OBH front bar on sunday arvo close enough to the road so you can hear the exhauts as pwrx members drive by.

Well RMS fitted my 3" S/S in nov last and honestly I love it and at the end of the day you can listen to everyone out there that has an opinion and become more confused. I love the sound its a real sweet rex sound. Good luck with whatever decision you make.

Yeah i have noticed my mates xforce is quite louder than mine.. though i dont mind the volume of it.. i have a complete magnaflow system and very nice note but isnt as loud as i would have liked but apparently magnaflow are meant to be really good is that right ???

Butler makes and supplies the exhaust system to RMS and possibly to other workshops too (thats from the horses mouth). If you absolutely must have the "RMS" exhaust you might as well go to Butler directly. He's just down the street from RMS.

Butler Built Performance
Unit 3/16 Cohn Street, Carlisle.
Tel: 9472 7373
(Norm Butler)

Had my exhaust done by Butler. Paid $1500 installed. Much too droney for me. I changed the rear muffler within 24 hrs to a more restrictive one to cut the interior drone. Still wasnt happy. Finally had a Jap muffler fitted and its much better.

If i had to do it again, i'd buy an imported Japanese brand exhaust (Fujitsubo, HKS, Apexi...), way better quality (mandrel bends and not cut and weld job)and sound (get JASMA approved systems which have to meet strict decible ratings). Unless of course you want LOUD.....
