Possibly previous owner bought it and it was debadged like so many cars these days and bought some eBay ones to put them on himself, then installed at the wrong height.

From memory the vin number will be in the info on the ad, just ring Subaru and ask them to confirm it's an STi....

You can't see the embroidered STi logo's because of the angle the pics were taken, they will have it 110% guaranteed.
