how illegal is it to drive with out the front bumper? because i want to get tires put on monday to fit in with uni - can i just cable tie number plate to front or will i get shunned from pwrx and set alight for doing that?

my mate got a fine for driving his car to the panel beater without a front bumper, something about if you hit a pedestrian itll do more damage. it comes down to the cop thats writing the ticket, some look the other way others dont

the law says you can not drive a car that does not comply to that vehicles safety measures. ie. no bumper. but its so open ended that a cop could get you for a number of things if they wish to.

lol if i get pulled up and fined ill just send it to get thrown out court like fines for my lux
really rather not tho - whats a bit of plastic styling thats full of gapping big holes going to do to make it 'safer' for pedestrians? if you hit one, its going to pull that off/break it haha, and if you hit one doing the speed limit, no matter how many pool noodles and pillows are round youre cars they are still fucked.
