Default Strange Alarm Happenings

Hey everyone,
a few times in the last week the alarm in the wrx has been doing something funny (i think its out of the ordinary at least)!

its the factory alarm system - when i get in it (seatbelt done up and door closed) the pad isnt asking for a pin so i try turn it on and it doesnt start just turns over but no ignite. So i turn it off, press immobiliser again and it does the same thing. I have to do it about 3 times before i can press anything on the keypad... am i doing something wrong here? Aside from this I have never had trouble with it before (except forgetting the code once :-| )

Thanks for any advice

Moose

Key in the code even though the pad isn't lit up.

If you don't think its working right also, best to have it looked into. Checked over and made sure its playing right. Otherwise you will be stuck with a tow to the closest Subaru dealership to get it all sorted.

OK, bringing up an old thread here, but i'm starting to have central locking problems. I've done a search but each thread seems to have slightly different problems to me...

The above problem with the alarm is still happening - try to turn car on and it just keep turning over but no ignite, turn engine off, repeat until the keypad lights up and i can put code it (might take 3 or 4 times sometimes)

but now i'm also having a fight with the central locking because it doesnt always unlock. it started very suddenly - never had a problem before a few days ago - i've changed batteries in both my keys, and pressing the unlock button works maybe one out of ten or twenty presses... but seems to work just fine after a drive but its when i come back to it after a while that its playing up. I dont know if the two are linked or not, but i wanted to pick people's brains here before i give subaru a call :-)

Anyone got any ideas?

Thanks!
