hey Peeps!

Im in the market for a new WRX sedan and am just curious to know if there are any major differences between the MY09 and MY11 sedan??

any info would be greatly appreciated!

Well the wider "STi" body would be the most obvious difference and that translates into a wider track (and I think wider rims?) which would benefit stock handling. Besides that, I dont think there are any major differences mechanically or cosmetically.

2009 less fierce, more lines on the 11 ??

Cosmetically:

• 17*8 wheels sporting 235/45R17 tyres
• wide body kit that the sti has
• silver colour is gone on the boot trim, now anthracite
• silver on dash is now anthracite
• rear bumper vents found on the 09/10 are gone
• front bumper is different from the 09/10 (same as the sti now?)
• brake calipers are now painted red

Electronically:

• 6 stacker CD player has been replaced, now only 1 CD but has bluetooth controls located on the steering column

Mechanically:

• I believe that the my11 is also 1" wider?! (not just the rims, e.g. wider track)
• exhaust flows slightly better than the 09 and has a nice sound
• spring rates may have been uprated again

As more come to mind, I'll update this accordingly.

One thing I'm not too sure on, is where the boot became raised behind the rear seats, was this the case on the 09/10 models?

I have the MY09 and even i think the MY11 is hotter lol

but value for money, you can pick up an 09 cheap as chips in comparison! Hence why i got the 09!

As mentioned above the only reason i asked is that you can get an MY09 sedan for like $32-35k with low kms. So just not sure if i should just spend the extra $$$ and get the MY11

Get an ex demo MY11. I have seen a couple around.
