Another tip is only get your alarm fitted by someone or a business you trust. If you can, fit it yourself or get a closely trusted friend to do it. The last thing you need is the new 19year old apprentice installer to be drunk with his mates crapping on about how the security system is installed in YOUR car at the top of his voice in a dumpy pub full of potential theives.

The really interesting thing here is Brant will not just sell you a unit to install yourself, they will
only let one of their installers do it. Well guess what Brant... piss off... no sale.

I leave my keys in a open obvious position but have hidden the spare. They can take the car but if i see it again id go take it back and fire bomb the house it was infront of :-)

I have to agree with Impressive here. I attended plenty of home invasions where the occupants were woken up/beaten because the offender/a couldn't find the keys to their high powered cars. Also attended plenty where the offender/s have broken in through a rear door, grabbed the keys from the kitchen bench and left without making a noise.... Let them take the car, the less time they spend in your house the better.
Even consider carrying out anti surveillance runs when you're close to home, do a few laps, go down a dead end street and take note of any vehicles that follow you.... All basic stuff that will take an extra 5 mins of your day. I'll be at the cruise on the 4th so happy to offer any info.

I guess the best solution would be a hidden timer switch in addition to your alarm, so the fuel pump cuts out after a minute or so if the switch isn't flipped.

I know of many an individual who will simply not put their car on the line for their life.

If your insured - let them have the car.

Guys its a Subaru.

Who gives a crap if the 'young apprentice' installing the alarm blabs about putting an Autowatch in a white WRX. There's only 11 million of them in Perth.

If you have people following you home for your $20-40k car, yell at them to get some class and go steal something worth some money.

Have your stuff insured and all is fine!
