Default Carbon boot with square key barrel hole

Hey guys

So I bought a carbon boot/trunk off eBay cost me a grand. Got it here and realized it has a square hole for the key barrel rather than circle, and as far as I'm aware every Subaru has a circle hole?? Correct me if I'm wrong
I tried fitment anyways on my GD sti and it it's perfectly it's just that damn square hole that the circle can fit through :/
Bit disappointing but if someone thinks they can get it to work for them they can have a cheap carbon trunk for 800 bucks. Alternatively can anyone recommend cheapest shipping options for international, it's a big box obviously but only weighs 11 kg all up

Cheers!

Take a pic of the hole, and of the standard lock.

Surely youll be able to get someone to make a piece to fit it.

Yeah that's why I wanted the shipping company recommendation, that's the option if no one wants it

That's the suppliers problem dude. If it's not as advertised/incorrect, make them refund you. If they want the item back, make them arrange to get it.

They have agreed to refund for the item and the cost of shipping I paid to get it here, but I have to pay for shipping back there, hence trying to find the cheapest option. Or should they pay for that aswell as refund my shipping? If so I will threaten PayPal action if they don't

No, they should have to arrange everything, the most you might want to do as a nice person is drop it off at a depot.

Surely a good panel beater would be able to fibre glass the hole up and re drill the suite the round key barrel ?
Spence likes this.

Surely the supplier could supply a boot with a hole to suit?
