Sounds like a fun trip that I have to miss. Some hints. Best place to stop between Perth and Albany is the Woolshed at Williams but closed Sundays. Plenty of parking, clean facilities, spacious, art display and boutique so you can walk around without getting scorched or wet if it is hot or wet outside. Good noshery, real orange orange juice, apple cake recommended. The police in the small towns of Williams, ArthurRiver, Kojonup, delight in enforcing the posted limits. If you have a detector going off in the middle of nowhere in the shire of Williams, take it as real.

Hopefully someone in our group has a detector and can sit towards the front of the pack.....

The Williams coppers are KNOWN to be nazis with the speed limits through their town, they are always there.

I have a detector but I doubt I will be in the front of the pack

Is anybody taking handhelds?

We have a couple (of handhelds) at work that I could probably borrow, might bring them along so I have someone to chat with.

I will try and get one too.

While they are handy, my experiences tell me that when you pass through ALL the small towns, definitely slow right down to 50 or 60kms. Its the first 60 zone sign that people miss and get pinged on as its an easy target for the 5-0! Either that or people dont slow down enough and think theres no police around!

i have a detector, handheld and i know the way.

i dont mind taking the front, but i'll definetly be donin the speed limit in built up areas

i've been pinged in a country town before, its hard slowing down from 150 to 60 in time even if you see the cop
