hows this for an idea.......
book somewhere in bunbury (or busso) and everyone makes their way down friday, if you can get the day off, go early, if not, cruise down that evening. then leave first thing saturday morning from bunbury for the rest of the trip (less driving after visiting the hotel bar :P) lunch in albany, twisties in the afternoon, night in albany, then drive back the following day.

You are in ideas man Jester, This sounds like a good idea, definitely will cut the cruise up a little!

Heheh it will cut it up... a little... but not much.... Bunbury is still nearly as far away as perth... like i think we're talking not even 100km closer.... because it's closer to the coast, and if you dont back track and go via busso etc, it's actualy just as far KM wise to come straight from Perth...

Regards,

SiriX

Just did a bit of route planning on my Garmin Mapsource software, Perth CBD to Bunbury CBD is 196KM which is going down via Kwinana, South Western Highway, Forrest Av... generaly the most direct route. which isnt half the trip, cos Bunbury CBD to Albany CBD is 338KM ... and Perth CBD to Albany CBD is 417KM which is right to the center of Perth (Murray St etc) so... if you go Perth To Bunbury, then Bunbury to Albany your looking at a 534KM trip, rather than a 417KM Trip... i guess it might be a bit more scenic but it's also 117KM more to travel.

Regards,

SiriX
