I reckon equal length sounds phat.

An added bonus is that it also has people wondering it's just an impreza with a wannabe bonnet scoop/wing, until you blow them away.

Anti-lag + equal length headers = WINNAH (although use sparingly like David said, they do crack).

I had X-force headers with a BPM GT-spec exhaust, sounded like a Civic/S15 hybrid until you floor it - very race-car like (IMHO of course).

By the way, most race cars sound like crap at lower RPMs but mint when they are flat-out.

Yep, I got equal length headers....I dont think I'd go back to unequal length now!

With my TD06 and fairly straight through exhaust, the car just sounds like pure anger on full noise!!!

If you stick with them, the noise will grow on you.....the increase in mid range and top end is definitely worth it too!!

they sound gay - end of story. As for performance gains - debatable unless you're generating big hp.

darren, if you locate the thread on nasioc, they do include on road tests of the headers. All of them reduced lag considerbaly, bar the stocker(benchmark).

the injen x-pipe just allowed more flow through out the rev range to increase torque and power.

I noticed a big performance gain....not just in my imagination either, I felt a noticeable push in the mid range compared to before..

Did you do anything else to the car at the same time? Or did you just fit the headers & get a retune?
