Default headers/manifold

i have bought a set and put them onto me car last week... hmmm

i am not sure what to say other then they sound like crap

i would say my car is really outta tune wid still having the same ecu with heaps of mods but that is on its way soon but i already miss the boxer rumble

i am yet to put me foot down and test anythin out because i dont want to break anything seeing that i also have a new turbo on the car i am just running stock boost and not driving it unless need be

i am prepared to keep these on my car if they make some noticible differnce and if they do where will they make the difference eg. down low, boost spool, on full boost or all round?

they are full stainless steel manifold that are exual length

thanks for your information

mark

congratulations you now sound like a lancer like me
yeah, whats more inportant to you, power or sound? dont put your foot down, it's gona be running hell lean untill you get a good tune. what brand are they?
and there are after market unequal length headers on the market if ya want the best of both worlds. yeah a bit late now i know.
im yet to get my car tuned so im just putting around at the moment, but from what i've read it's an all round improvement.

If you want to crack your nice new manifold anti lag wouldnt be the way to go...... They should stand up okay with a/lag but prolong use will crack them

Should have got unequal length headers if you wanted to keep the rumble.

go back to your stock manifold, buy the injen type cross pipe and port them to get the best results

Having a look at your posts on the cross pipe tode and just wondering if it concerns you that the dyno graph that you posted showed loses in both lower end torque and power with the crosspipe?

Not having a dig, just wondering if this mod will increase lag and lose a bit of drivibility?

I think the HKS manifold on the RA sounds awesome. Very raw.

I am quite over the boxer rumble now.

As far as antilag goes the pops are much quicker.
