I've been running the Kando for 2 or so years drama fee, however they were ceramic coated.

I have to say man, that looks like a really clean engine!!!

Just a question to people with headers, particularly gc8 owners: I have read up that a few members on here installed headers without any thermal wrap or ceramic coating and run fine i.e not melting the undertray or any problems at all. Basically just want to know if I install headers as is, will it be ok? Just a cost factor question really.

Thanks guys

What I heard is wrapping is more effective than ceramic coating.

As engine performance goes, u need keep exhaust temp high to keep good thermal efficiency, so high fuel combustion efficiency. Another factor is volumetric efficiency, but it's hard to change unless using big stroke kit.

Am I right?

^ heard that wrapping will lead to cracking which when occurs will also be hard to find the cracks. in saying that I'm sure that willall wrapped thier headers which were tomei brand. (wrapping came with headers I think)

alright guys, got myself a set of EL headers from xforce for a great price from a forum member.
So my current mods are.
Stock VF28
- Hitech 3" TBE
- Autronics Computer

Thinking of getting some new silicon pipes, getting headers fitted and upgrade the fuel pump and possible more efficient TMI. Im wondering if it would be worth getting injectors also for my quest to 200awkw.
