I just read up on resetting the ECU on Subaru's, theres something I was unaware of called an Advance Muliplier , which reverts its settings back to 8 instead of 16 after you disconnect the battery and the ECU re- sets.

Is it true you have to re-set this Multiplier setting by driving a particular way ie no boost and braking etc. as per link below

Take the car back to MMS and get Neil or Daniel to plug into the ECU and check the readings. Things such as a bad batch of fuel, for example, can upset the car.

WAIT... rewind, you cleaned the afm with brake cleaner?

i'd say that would be your problem, should have used electrical contact cleaner, although when this model afm goes cleaning it has little to do with cleaning it (like the old my99 afms you could get away with cleaning to extend the life a bit)

No ,no I bought Contact Cleaner and cleaned it with that, I didn't end up buying brake cleaner. Guys at work are saying they too think its a Bad Fuel issue?.

Unfortunately I work long hours and live in rockingham... MMS is all the way up in Malaga and they are not open on Saturdays.

I checked the Leads the other day and seem all good?,I will now have to try look at plugs on the weekend, maybe I cracked the Ceramic Insulator on a plug: I had a hell of a time changing those plugs!!.

I found out today my brother had one of those nice Autel Maxiscan MS509 OBD2 Scanners, didn't know he had the thing!.

I hooked that up, it works really well and can monitor in Real time ,error code reading/ clearing etc and surprisingly it brought up no error codes at all??!. Car is still hesitating, spluttering, got fuel from a different servo as some have suggested Bad Fuel but its still the same.

Tomorrow,I'll have to try remove the spark plugs for a look...only been in there for 2-3 weeks but maybe I cracked the Ceramic on one upon installation?. when I had the scanner hooked up ,on looking at Fuel system it says = OL I have no idea what the OL abbreviation is and cant find it in the Manual.
