Biggest dramas we have down here is VL and VK grass bandits...

they love to do circle work in all the new developments down here, and up and down our street (gravel) quite fun actually, getting number plates, they see ya, usually late at night if your coming home or something, and "try" to outrun you...

If I cant be bothered chasing them, and if they go past more than once I throw rocks at their car..works well.

if ur stupid enough to drive without insurance I have no sympathy...

there was some guy on today tonight last night (haha) whinging bout his GTR being stolen .. and how the guys who stole it didnt even care that it was on security camera... then whinged that he didnt have insurance so he just lost 50k.... well if you cant get insurance and arnt prepared to lose that money... dont have the car !

ps. NOR reprazent !! you dirty southies can stay there... !

just wondering...to the guys tat get there car stolen or attempted thief... do u park ur car on the street or driveway where its visable to passing traffic?
or is it secure in ur garage where no1 will seee?

im just curious about these thiefs, i mean if the car is garaged then the thiefs have no way of actually knowing wats there unless they have spotted u before or followed u back to ur house

Regardless of the NOR / SOR debate, car theives will target any decent car at any time. Follow the usual guidelines and i think you will loose a chunk of the risk.. Also i use those steering wheel locks... I spent $80 on one as it offers a $2000 rebate if the car gets stolen when its on (just in case for me as my excess is over 3K!). I think these are a good visual deterant. They are also a good weapon in times of self defence. Nice and heavy and shaped like an axe

My car is parked behind a security gate at night and is clearly visible at work so I'm not too worried.....touch wood.

Jaded - yeah I saw that story too, he borrowed the money to buy the car from his parents and then didn't bother to get insurance = dickhead IMO.

just park ur car in smart places. Im willing to drive around for hours at a shopping centre to make sure i park close to the doors. Or get an acrod sticker and ull be right in front of the door. $15 from ne disabled ppl u know.
At home its always parked close to the house or in the garage. Neva on the street.
My mate is experimenting with an alarm that gives a shock wen u touch ne part of the body work. basically like getting static shock. hurts but aint goin to kill u. Gives to vocal warnings b4 it charges the body. Hes not to far away from developing it either.
