Last buy price I know of (this month) was $1500 for an Autronic MY99/00 PnP unit. People usually ask $1600 - $1800 |

I'll buy into this one I think.
Autronic SM4 equiped 04 spec c rally car won stages on it's first outing on the weekend in the Rally of SA. First time the driver has driven the car and he did it on the first day on customer spec tyres not wrc tyres. Consistently set vey competitve times throughout the rally and alot of the Motec equipped teams were blown away by the straight line performance of this car. (quick plug car was built by Maximum Motorsport) So Motec does not equate horsepower or useability the Autronics is more than up to the job!

adz you are full of shit
ehat crap is this about consitency? it runs the same program day in and day out. And if you think for a minute or 2 you will realise that rally cars in competition is about alot more than straight line speed or overall power figures. Cars that don't drive smoothly don't win............period as far as the rest of you fairly poor arguements about accuracy, compensation etc do you know what you are talking about or are you parroting the motec whores on this forum? BOTH ecu's are very good YES motec is better YES autronics is not far behind Don't go by one tuner or another telling you what they think is best, the best ecu is the one that fits your personel requirements NOT the ecu that you get a sticker for so you can wank on to your mates about how big you cock is. Just think about what you are buying and what the application is. I didn't go motec because on an old shitter like mine I don't need 5 gazzilion outputs because I will never run most of them. As far as charging to ""enable" something on a computer that is already there that is the biggest load of shit I have ever heard. What they are saying is I will give you the hardware and software all at the same price as it costs the same but if you want to look cool bend over and give me an extra couple of grand

If you add to that the SM4's slower 16-bit 1980's vintage processor, it's significantly less mature design and the raw fact that it can't do as much as the M800, it's a bending over to buy an Autronic. g. |
