so im contemplating to get headers for my bugeye but im fighting with myself to get them or not, could someone explain to me the benefits of headers and recommended types.

Possibly a bit more torque, earlier spool if you get equal length headers (versus unequals). Equals will make your car sound like a raspy Honda however.

$500 China headers are fine. Most of them are exactly the same as the $1000 offerings like Tomei, etc (come from the same factory in Thailand or Taiwan, I forget which one).

ahh sweet, I noticed empire performance was advertising some but not sure if they were equal or unequal ill double check and might consider on purchasing.

they're great for larger turbo applications, i wouldn't wast your time with anything smaller than a vf22

one of the forester lads actually made LESS power with a td04 fitted after a retune & fitted eq length headers

Make sure whoever fits them is decent.

My header experience was not the best.

cheers lads great info, yea either ill go hit up allstar garage or exhaust world west perth for installment.

peter from exhaust world fitted the headers i bought off teejay, sit abit low on my gc but havent blown any gaskets nor had any problems

yea i had my exhaust checked out by peter as well how much did he charge you to fit them??
