Hi ALL

Just abit of advice regarding shocks on my 01 wagon.
I'm currently running on coilovers although I'm loving the ride height -35mm. I'm finding it either too bouncy or too solid pending how i set it.
I was thinking of putting my shocks back in with king low springs.Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Cheers

What brand of Coilovers?
I have king springs in and they are pretty darn stiff also!

i had king springs in my sti on stock shocks
all i can say is SHIT get a decent set of coilovers
or even take it to a suspension shop and
get them to drive it and see if they can perfect it or even
change your springs to a different Spring Rate

I'm running gd coilovers with 18 x 8 rims with 215x 40 tyres. I can only have hard or soft on the coilovers.

42 psi is some of the issue, try rolling on say 32 psi and see how the ride feels

Gd coilover's doesn't should like a brand to me you bug wagon has the gd series chassis. Personally I run 36psi in my tires, I have dms40 coilover's set fairly hard so my ride is somewhat harsh.. But in saying that if you run coilover's the ride is going to be rather stiff.

For a start -35 is WAY too low...borne out by your avatar pic...you must be literally on the bump stops. The next issue is that if your coilover dampers only have hard and soft (ie two) settings, they sound as though they are a waste of time.
As Mark says, you should run 36 psi...and I would be adjusting the height of your coilovers to bring the ride height up by at least 15 mm for a start. If there isn't much improvement I would be getting rid of the coilovers for something a bit better...I had DMS 40 on my old MY02 STi and they offered a much better ride than the standard suspension whilst retaining plenty of travel (which is the key)....other options are something like Koni strut inserts with lowered springs...these work well.
