Test drove an auto (no manual at Wangara) car felt awesome. This would be my fifth Subaru, three from this dealership but the sales manager with his arrogant piss poor attitude made me swear never to go back. Hopefully OP is better..

Saw a red one pull into the Melville Civic Centre carpark in Booragoon with NSW plates on it this afternoon, it did a u-turn and went back out. Must've been on a test drive.
Very EVO'ish so in that regard the look is not very ground breaking which is a bit disappointing.....didn't mind the back end though.

^This is the reason why Mitsubishi have just announced that they won't be making the EVO anymore -- RIP EVO 1992-2015
They're bringing out something else turbo sports not based on the lancer with a completely different look....They want to look different from the copy Subaru made....mitsu slap slap subaru

Lol jokes about that reason but yea true mitsu is changing, 2014 is last Evo to be made.

I wouldn't say that. I'm pretty sure it is so the brand can pursue "eco alternatives" i.e. turbo awd doesn't fit the company vision anymore, hence they will move into other concepts.

I've got a link back on my pc to a japanese article on this if needed for reference.

** just saw rj999 last paragraph. My comment still stands.

I test drove one of these today, was amazing. Will be seriously interested in purchase after holiday in October to replace GC8 and daily Hopefully more demos will be available then. Very minimal lag with the twinscroll setup. Box feels really nice and interior is really nice + roomy for me (I'm 6"4) I'd never thought I would want a new car until today... I'm really intrigued about the new engine and it's potential power output after seeing what some of the modified BRZ/86s are putting out with forced induction. Guy offered me 45kish for the premium driveaway. It had 3k on the clock.

MRT have been making some pretty significant gains on the base WRX too. Engine still unopened.
The STI needs the new 2.0 donk and low mount turbo.

I bought the premo...

Not that I have much experience with wrx's (previous: Skyline R33, Camry Sportivo) I cant find many flaws with it. I love the new shape, the colour, the interior, the performance. I'm generally very happy with my car!

I've got the grey colour. If I were to get anything else I would get white.. I dont think any of the other colours look good imop.

cons:

- With the 6 gears, u literally have to change to third to hit 100kph which is an issue to those chasing a quick 0 - 100kph speed.

- Stock ride height is a bit high, definitely will be doing something about this soon (keen for suggestions guys (was thinking tein coilovers?))

- Pretty sure I cant turn on accessories in the car without sitting in it, with foot on the break.. which is a pain if I've forgotton to wind up a window or something. (keyless push start)

- A couple other bits an pieces which are annoying to probably only me lol

Any questions guys feel free to ask!
