Default Double Locking on 2011 WRX - Can it be turned off?

Howdy All
Loving my new 2011 Rex, but keen to switch off the double locking.
The manual says "Take it to a Dealer" which I did, but the Service Guys Plugged their Computer in and had several goes, but were unable to turn the double locking back to the single locking.
They suggested because it has a keypad, the computer functions are limited.

Has anyone had a play with the keypad and found a way to turn the double locking back to single?

More to the point, is there a code book for various functions using the keypad?

Keen to hear you thoughts...

Many Thanks
Russ

It's a security feature, why would you want to disable it?

Hey Craig,
Have been caught a few times with arms full, hitting unlock buttons twice within 5 seconds, going to the boot and finding it not open. It then takes another 2 pushes to unlock all, or a single push on the boot button, which then relocks the rears and passenger door.

Gimme simple over complex anyday, thanks

Not complaining, just keen to make life that little bit easier...

Because car jacking isn't as prominent here as in South Africa.

haha fair enough. Just amused as I have never seen anyone get annoyed by it before. I'm yet to experience it as my remote has to be pressed twice deliberately to double lock it. Just came that way from the dealership.
