Default TBE - with resonator or no resonator

I'm planning of possibly getting an Invidia N1 TBE but there's two versions available, one is the street version which has a resonator in the midpipe, and the other is the racing version which doesn't have a resonator.

What's better (louder and more dak dak!) resonator or without

Thanks

the depends on whether you want your neighbours to like you, whether you have kids, whether you have to ferry your in laws around town, whether you can stand the constant dak dak 24/7

Talking

Guy from the shop I was going to buy the exhaust from just told me that I'd be crazy to get that exhaust without the resonator, that it was loud enough as it was...

I still like it loud, I wonder if anyone here on the forum has an Invidia Racing N1 without the resonator, what is it like?

See if there are any clips on youtube. Volume = cop-bait. Up to you if you want to risk getting yellowed or not.

One thing to keep in mind, without the resonator, you'll get an increase in in-cabin drone in addition to the increase in sounds.

If you only drive your car on the weekends, I don't see a problem

ok things to think about then....

Its seems like a lot of people like the non resonated version in the US...but in OZ most people or shops selling them only recommend the resonated version...

I guess I could always get the one or the other then later change the mid-pipe (to resonated or non)...

I guess the deciding factor will be price....Waiting on a quote from an ebay shop, they only have the non resonated version, and from vendor here who has the resonated version...

I wonder how bad the cabin drone is? being my first exhaust mod ever, not sure what to expect.

Sharpy, when you say "not that bad really" u mean it really didn't bother you or it did but not that bad?

Didn't bother me in the slightest. I loved it, it didn't drone much at all except for if I was sitting at a constant 2.5k to 3k rpm, but even then I didn't have any issues with it. I really didn't think it was that loud, I've certainly heard plenty of louder rexxes around, I would guess a 3" down pipe from the turbo would louden things up a bit more but I had stock still.

Mine was a different brand, and was full titanium but that shouldn't change it. Still a straight through cannon and everything
