If the police suspect no cat they'll yellow sticker you and I suggest getting the cat reinstalled before going to the pits for getting clear. They'll do an emissions test if they still think something's a miss. Then you'll give a 10k donation to the government.

Fuaaaaaaark 10k haha thought it'd be couple hundred max. Ok I shall go catted too. Catted still makes it louder though wouldnt it? Compared to a catback with stock downpipe

Does the law state how many cats you need though? Because I already have one on my catback so would I need one on the downpipe too?

I doubt you have one in your catback, I'd say you're confused? And I've never heard of anyone copping the $10k/$15k fine (if it even exists), I don't see it happening either.

abs....Your stock downpipe connects to your stock cat, then your cat back connects to it (which is just the rest of the exhaust piping from the cat plus the exhaust tip)...

When you get the new downpipe it will have a highflow cat built into the downpipe itself (so the stock cat goes in the bin!) and connect directly to the rest of the catback system(just connects to the mid-pipe), and it will be 3" all the way from the Turbo manifold...
Will definitely need a tune after that...
Cat back is just for sound, tbe for power and sound

I have the Invidia N1 street catback which has the resonator in, but I have the invidia V2 catless down pipe, the resonator makes it deeper and more rumbly, but no resonator makes it really raspy, either way it will be very loud and you won't be disappointed with it! Not sure if having no cat is the reason mine shoots blue flames? I know having a bov makes it run rich for that second it vents is this the reason?

I'm confused now I've got one of these:
Invidia N1 Cat back Exhaust suit WRX 01-07 - Pro Speed Racing

To me it looks like there's already a cat on the mid pipe there, my question is whether getting a catless downpipe would be illegal?
