I just got a set of 225/40/R18 Hankooks on at Swan Tyres, they are really really grippy and feel great!

Sensational service! I went in this morning and had them done the same day with a discount as they do all my companies vehicles as well

Highly recommend Swan Tyres!

How do you rate them for sidewall stiffness and cornering stability ?

I hate the squirmy feeling some tyres can give when used on AWD vehicles.

When I said about Kumho tyres at Swan the blokes there said they're "crap" and that they've stopped selling them...don't know if that's really the case but quite happy with my new rubber!

In my experience Kumhos are good for the money, haven't had any driving experience with the KU39 but I'd rate them as a brand to be far from crap (that basket is reserved for the drift-spec no brand rubbish tyres that seem to be popping up everywhere...).

225/40/R18 K117's or something like that. Not a huge expert on the tyre jargon

I'll check out k117's then...

Sounds like swan has signed a deal with hankook to become a dealer (more kickbacks per sale) and that's why he down played the kuhmo's (cause he makes less or tyre), or he may not even stock them.

Yeah that's what I suspect, but he's pretty cluey, does a lot of rexy's and his son has a wrx so I trust their judgement So far so good!

I have 18" wheels though, he quoted me $180 a corner for 17" but then I realised I had given him the wrong size
