From info I gathered, it qas a fundamental ecu programme flaw, which causing delayed knocking correction at high rpm. Afrer recall they fixed it. Neil told me 11+ model also has diff head studs. But newer car always better if u budget allows it.

ECU re-programming and the potential for copper filings to be found in and around turbo piping from a manufacturing defect or some shit along those lines. There was something else but I can't remember now.

Just get vin numbers and call Subaru AUS and they will give you the details of each vehicle and history.
