2009 WRX - Recommended Handling Mods
After some advice about handling mods for my 2009 WRX.
Goals: bit lower, stiffer, less roll, less understeer, decent ride quality for a daily driver and 100% street use (and wife already complains). Leaning towards lowering springs rather than coilovers mainly due to cost. Need a setup that will not cause rubbing with my 18x8 (+50mm offset) wheels with 235/40 tyres. Budget: $1k give or take 1. Which Springs? Currently looking at RCE regular guy black springs (read these have a pretty good ride quality still?) 2. Sway bars and which size? Currently looking at this front and rear whiteline package which also comes with end links: Whiteline BSK011 Front & Rear Sway bar - vehicle kit (are the sizes in this kit the best way to go to reduce understeer?) Is it worthwhile also getting the rear brace?: Whiteline KBR15 Brace - sway bar mount support 3. Anything else recommended? My lower control arm bushings are split so was thinking of getting the antilift kit: Whiteline KCA334 Control arm - lower inner rear bushing (anti-lift/caster correction) |
