New Cars only. No used cars.

Specialist Import excluded ...

Second hand market will crash. Why pay 30-35K for 3 year STi when you can buy brand new for that money.

If that goes ahead people will have a very hard time selling their cars

No it won't, you guys don't know what's involved in bringing low volume vehicles in & prep'ing them for ADR compliance & 045 compliance inspections.

You can't just import a new (or old) car & take it to the pits to license it.

There was some following more info. I didn't here it accurately but it involved some used cars at "up to a year old" and certain kilometers.

Regarding ADR I believe that the info included some comments on the fact that ADR and other countries design regs are getting to be more and more similar.

I guess we are going to have to wait for the small print to be released.

Vehicle must be under 12 months old, and have less than 4000kms.

Well ... that puts Jap used into the mix.
